The Museu de Lagar Mário Gomes Figueira is a part of Quinta da Moira (The Farm of the Moor Girl), located in the village of Vila Franca da Serra, concelho of Gouveia, district of Guarda, in the famous Serra da Estrela.

How to get to Vila Franca da Serra
From Lisbon
- A1 – exit at Coimbra Norte towards IP3, Viseu.
- IP3 – exit to IC12, direction of Mangualde/Guarda (after Rojão Grande).
- IC12 – will end in national road EN 234.
- EN 234 – take direction of Nelas/Mangualde.
- IP5/A25– Mangualde/exit 24, Fornos de Algodres, exit to Fornos de Algodres direction of Estação de Fornos/Celorico da Beira.
- EN 330 – Estação de Fornos/Ponte de Juncais/Gouveia.
- At Ponte de Juncais (a bridge) turn right in the direction of Gouveia and in the next crossing continue ahead towards Vila Franca da Serra/Gouveia.
- Vila Franca da Serra is situated 3 Km from Ponte de Juncais.
From Porto
- A1 – exit at Albergaria a Velha, towards Viseu
- IP5/A25– Mangualde/exit 24, Fornos de Algodres, exit to Fornos de Algodres direction of Estação de Fornos/Celorico da Beira.
- EN 330 – Estação de Fornos/Ponte de Juncais/Gouveia.
- At Ponte de Juncais (a bridge) turn right in the direction of Gouveia and in the next crossing continue ahead towards Vila Franca da Serra/Gouveia.
- Vila Franca da Serra is situated 3 Km from Ponte de Juncais.
How to get to the Museum
Once in Vila Franca da Serra coming from Fornos de Algodres, just after passing by the village church (on your right), you should turn left into the road which connects Vila Franca da Serra and Vila Ruiva. (There is a sign there indicating the Quinta.) Then, at the bifurcation you should turn right, and keep driving until you can turn left (where a new sign can be found). You can always ask locals for the Museu de Lagar Mário Gomes Figueira or the Lagar da Moira.
