The Museu de Lagar Mário Gomes Figueira, a olive press house museum, invites you to know more about the traditional method of producing olive oil, from getting the olives to the final tasting of the "golden thread".

A part of Quinta do Lagar da Moira, located in concelho of Gouveia, in Serra da Estrela, the old Lagar da Moira ("The Moor Girl Press House"), which produced olive oil for more than 80 years, was totally refurbished and now presents all the traditional machines used for producing olive oil as its main exhibition.
